Every Gal A Wildcat!
I know I'm not supposed to use this blog as a forum to brag or anything but the Kansas State Wildcats did beat the Missouri Tigers over the weekend. Sophie and I tuned in for the game wearing our purple and we were treated to a 80-70 victory! She watched nearly all the game with me and was definitely the Cats good luck charm. Honestly I think she just likes the colors and movement on the TV but for now I'm sticking with the theory she'll really be into sports like her dad. Just as a disclaimer, Joannie added the sunglasses to the ensemble. I think the futures so bright, she's gotta wear shades. Purple one's to boot!

Denim Days and Huggies Nights
Yeah so this shot is Sophie wearing her first pair of blue jeans. I have no idea where she got them but I do know they are pretty dang cute on her. As you can see, all smiles these days for our little monkey. The big news this week was Sophie decided it was time to roll over much to her Daddy's delight who was
egging her on. Joannie and I immediately called a "powers that be meeting" and decided a couple things were true. 1) She's growing WAY too fast. 2) Sophie is going to be on the move very soon. 3) We are very lucky and blessed to have such a good little girl.

Ready for Spring?
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. After the last 7 or 8 inches more of snow Sophie's look here sums up our thoughts perfectly. Will this winter ever end? We are ready for stroller rides, walks outside and just being out of the house in general. I think I'll always remember Sophie's first winter with all the snow and cold. Hope springs eternal though and warmer weather is around the corner!
3 Months Old!
As a parent I am learning it's all about milestones. Our little one just turned 3 months old and has left me wondering, where has the time gone? It really is shocking to see her changing before my very eyes. Sophie is definitely growing leaps and bounds as you can see. Her mother and I have noticed she's always in a great mood and quick to shoot you a smile. This picture is from a private photo shoot her mother conducted!

Pictures I've Been Meaning to Post
OK so it took me a day snowed in at home to get these posted. I finally got on the ball and uploaded all the photos from our camera. One of those things I need to do more frequently. Anyways, here are some photos taken over the last few months I thought were worth sharing.
Here's one of our happy girl. Last night Joannie and I got her to laugh out loud for the first time. Not a big coarse HA (sorry Seinfeld reference there) but a pretty good little giggle. Sophie is smiling more and more each day and is always in a great mood. She must get that from her mother!
Three generations shown here. Great Grandma Mary, Joannie and Sophie. We got to see Mary over Christmas (yeah I'm that far behind on updating) in Kansas City and introduce her to her great-granddaughter. A trip to Great Grandma's in Brookville is definitely on the agenda very soon!
Here's one of Aunt Dana and Sophie taken Christmas Eve. Dana made all the kids Christmas PJ's and also gave us Sophie's baby gym which she loves!
When Joannie was pregnant I asked our niece Paige (pictured here) if she wanted Aunt Joannie to have a boy or a girl. She and her sister Olivia both responded unanimously: GIRL! I then asked Paige if she would be interested in any future babysitting gigs and how much she would charge. She informed me (very quickly I might add) $10 for a girl, $20 for a boy. Ya gotta love kids. PS. Sophie saved me ten bucks.
Here's one of Gammy Joan performing the ancient technique of rock-the-baby. Shortly after this photo was taken both were sound asleep! We had a great visit from Gammy and Papi for Sophie's baptism in January. Come back soon Gammy!
Another three generation photo. Papi Francis looks quite youthful with his new haircut! (Couldn't resist Papi!)
Another baptism shot. Papa Dan and Aunt Pam shown here at St. Patrick's Church. Uncle Rick and Aunt Pam were in attendance and it made Sophie's big day even more special.
This is a Haskell Family photo taken after the baptism. Pictured are Uncle Cam, Aunt Dana, Aunt Ann, Uncle Jac (who is still practicing his "someday the family will ask upon you a favor" Godfather voice), Cousins Paige, Emma, Olivia and Ben with Nana, Papa and us.
Tubby Time! Sophie absolutely loves the water just like her old man! We figured out she likes to be up to her shoulders in the water, keeping her nice and toasty warm. Yes, I know what your saying, "you had to figure that out?" Believe me the book "What To Expect When Your Expecting" only tells you so much. The rest is trial and error!
